I can't say I'm thrilled about the mess that is to come, but we haven't brought ourselves to take down the nest. Our trees aren't big enough yet, so they found somewhere else to nest.
A few years ago, we actually had some swallows nest in our dryer vent tube, so this definitely wins out in our minds. However, we're probably going to get it down soon so that she can nest (and lay eggs) elsewhere. We would like to avoid dive-bombing birds when we head out to play on the slide.

Looks like a mourning dove. Not much dive bombing potential there, and she is beautiful.
That's good to know Jamie, because we are really hesitant to take it down.

Yes, watch out for the birds....Mommy bird will get pretty protective of her babies.
