Six Facts, Six Rules, Six Tagged

I've been tagged...thanks Clancy. The rules are as follows: (Listing them does not necessarily mean I will follow them, nor should you feel obligated if you are tagged! Ya. We're pretty much rebels...)
1. Link the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write 6 random things about yourself.
4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let the person know you tagged them on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when you've posted.

Six random things about me...

1. I always draw a blank on these things about myself because I'm still getting to know me.
2. I wrote an essay in high school that was entirely embarrassing. It was a classify and divide essay and didn't think it sounded very fun, so I came up with a brilliant and funny topic. Unfortunately, it was one of my teachers favorites and she had me read it in front of the class. My parents also had me call some of my aunts and uncles to read it to them. No, the writing wasn't genius, but it was, as I hoped for, funny. It was a paper all about different kinds of ....Kisses...yep. I was crazy to think my teacher wouldn't have me read that in front of a room full of my 10th grade peers.
3. I almost drowned. I don't remember the exact age, but I think I was 7 or 8. I was swimming at a lake with my family and my dad's friend's family. I was a little overconfident in my swimming abilities and decided to "challenge" myself by swimming further than "the other kids." I ended up stuck in the middle of the lake and no way to get back. I remember floundering around, just trying to keep my head above the water. I felt like every breath was too important to waste, but I had to try to scream for help anyway. When I felt like I wasn't going to get my head out again, my dad's arms pulled me up, out of the dark water. He and his friend got me back the beach. I don't know if it seemed worse than it was because I was so little, but I seemed to be more shaken up about it than the others around me. Maybe it's just because I was so focused on myself to really see how they were or were not affected. I did get to wrap up in the biggest beach towel, though...take that you frayed ends, raggedy old bath towels (maybe I wasn't as near death as I thought if I remembered to be happy about my towel.)
4. I don't have my friends over enough because I have a panicky sensation about things not being "perfect." When they stop by, I'm fine with that, because I don't have time to panic and over-plan. But if I want people to come over, I have to invite first, then just do whatever I have time for. If I keep thinking "after I get that finished" "when this room is all cleaned" "when I decide what to cook" it never happens. Friends, please forgive me. LOL
5. I don't understand how people can move in and be "settled and all unpacked" in like a week. I usually unpack the essentials and take weeks, months, to get around to the rest. I want things to be perfectly organized and placed properly when they come out of boxes, so...I still have a few that need to be dealt with. (Take that Wendy-who-moved-in-in-a-week. )
6. I'm pretty sure I'm one of those people who uses LOL far too much. (lol)

Six people I tag...I think I only have six fellow bloggers, so even the inactive ones are going to get tagged. Hopefully, they will do it so that I can learn six sensational or strange facts about them...
BigSister...because she is full of things we don't know about her.
Brecca...because I love still getting to know her.
Aimee...because she needs some guidance on what to blog about.
Alex...because it's been long enough that he should pop on and practice those mad typing skills.
Ashley...because she still hasn't left me a memory...lol
Mylie...because she clearly needs another reason to get on and reflect on herself (2 years my dear)
