Since school started Monday, this Friday is truly FAB!!! Through the summer, Fridays are good, but since kids are out of school and Dustin is on a rotating schedule, Fridays aren't quite the same. I am truly giddy with the relief that this Friday is bringing!!! Tomorrow morning I don't have to get up at 5:40 to get Alex going for seminary, wake Aimee before I leave and hope that she isn't still in bed when I get back. Tomorrow I don't have to drag Allie out of bed in the dark and try to jive up her morning to get her excited to be awake. Tomorrow, the kids will all probably wake at 6:00 on their own and I won't get to sleep in, but hey, that's tomorrow...today I can look forward to the idealism of it.
1. A week of vacation revived me. I am ready to get back into the me that was lost for a while. I can once again see how to accomplish the things I used to and be motivated to begin the things I want to do.
2. After a rough first day of school, with mixed up schedules and uncooperative school personnel, Tuesday saw it all worked out and all is well in school land. (well, as well as Texas public school can be)
3. Today officially opens the first blackout Friday for our community and i loved seeing everyone in town in their blackout (or simply black) T's, elementary-sized cheerleading uniforms, and horseshoe and Mustang tatoos on their faces. Nothing can beat the hype surrounding a Friday night high school football game down here in Texas!
4. My garage is clean...I vowed to sweep it every week, but that just didn't happen. Now, after probably two months, it is once again a place I can park my car without thinking it might get dirtier than if I just left it outside. :) Sorry cobwebs...I like that you caught a whole army of flies, but your time had come.
5. I've decided that I'm allergic to my new comforter, not my new mattress, so...not only do I not have to go back to my old mattress, I have a good excuse to buy a new comforter! Shopping tomorrow!
