When they saw the flier, Alex and Aimee knew instantly that they were definitely going to do it. Our stake 4th annual Lip Sync Night was lots of fun. Surprisingly, there were only three acts that were teens (and 2 of them were my kids). Most of the songs were adult acts, which totally rocked. A shortened Thriller, a very dark Popcorn Popping with flashing flashlights, and a cute version of this, The Way I Am, by Ingrid Michaelson , one of my new favorite songs. So just imagine that song interrupted by "I'm Too Sexy" and then picking back up.
Aimee decided to do a song with her friend, Bria, and they got Laurin, Bria's younger sis to join them. After a few really bad choices, thankfully they ended up with this, a mix of Beyonce's 'Halo' and 'Walking On Sunshine,' which was heard/performed on the show "Glee." As our children are not of "Glee" viewing age, they made up their own actions and here's what they came up with. (I'm including the rehearsal video, because apparently they made some changes at their last rehearsal, which I thought took some really cute stuff away. Plus, the performance needed some extra stage lights on, so...enjoy both.
Alex got together with Wyatt and they semi-rehearsed Weird Al's White and Nerdy. They really wanted to do "Kiss Me Through The Phone" and "I Wanna Be A Gangster" so, since I overruled those choices, their rehearsal time was a little shorter than they wanted. Still, it was cute. Unfortunately, they also needed better stage lights and after watching their video, they vowed to move to the front of the stage next year. (I love that they are already planning next year's performance and learning from this year's!!)Alex has some cute "props" that aren't visible in this vid, but enjoy what you can!
