Tug-of-War

Allie's class came in 4th place in the annual Tug-of-War for her school. They were all very excited and the teachers and coaches were awesome at maintaining good sportsmanship and strong morale for all the children.

I'm relatively certain that they did so well because Allie insisted on bringing her soccer cleats to change into on the field. She "tried to dig them into the ground, but they didn't always work."  :)

Good thing she wore green polka dot shorts. It made it entirely easy to pick her out of the group!

This picture is actually of their final tug, the one which they lost. I was at a different angle for the winning rounds, but they rocked, completely pulling the opposing team off the ground at certain moments.

Her teacher, their cheerleader, is on the right of this pic, in the brown shirt.

Jill and Allie. Yes, Jill is the same age. She was the anchor in the back with the rope around her.
