Friday Fabulous Five!!

cheery
Remember how I LOVE Friday?!  I haven't focused on a Fab Five for many weeks. Okay, honestly it's probably been months. But that doesn't mean I don't love Friday, and I definitely have so many blessings and marvels of the world that make life wonderful!

1.  Pretty pink spring flowers.  I am co-hosting a baby shower for my friend this weekend, which means I have a totally valid excuse for buying pink and red flowers! :) So cheery, so lovely.

2. Dentist who help our teeth, even when we don't.  LOL.  Despite my best efforts to remind the children to FLOSS, not just brush, it would appear they may have been slacking in that department.  Yesterday I spent all afternoon at the dentist (because they scheduled them at the same time...and also because the dentist was behind schedule...sigh). Alex is finished. While I don't relish the thought of going back next week for Allie and Aimee, I am thankful that I am able. I am thankful that we have the ability to pay the dentist, even if it isn't my first choice of how to spend money.  I am thankful for dental floss, even when it's sitting unused in the toothpaste drawer. (Not mine, of course.)

3. A child who was awesome, despite being stuck at the dentist all afternoon.  Aidan was a superstar waiting out the visit.  We watched TV, colored, talked, played silly made-up games like "Guess the Balloon color", and asked to go home only once. Next time, I won't have them all scheduled together, but I'm so happy with Aidan's behavior through it all, I spent more time being amazed than being impatient.

4. Cute clothes that are fun to wear...even when I'm looking at the piles and baskets full that are waiting to be folded.  I still like them.

5. Electricity. Through this very cold snap in West Texas, our area had rolling power outages (to prevent blackouts), frozen pipes, no water, and no heat.  None of those things happened to me.  Don't think I didn't take notice and give thanks for every bit of it.  We stayed warm and cozy and prayed for those who had been affected.  Although none of the events lasted especially long, it always seems longer when trying  to wait it out.  I like power.  I like the workers who are committed to their job who were out there in the cold working to get it all fixed. (Yeah, I know, it's their job. But I'm glad it is.)

Happy Friday. Happy Weekend!!

(not so cheery...off I go to fold them all)

I think I like Friday Fabulous Five. Did Clancy used to do it too? I'm such a dingbat blog follower. If I would just sign in to igoogle every time I'd be able to keep up.

Nice list of things you like & are grateful for. I should try to start my own list! Happy Valentines Day! ♥
