The children laugh "no school, let's play,"
And wake before the sun.
Thoughts of school lull them to sleep, yet
The Promise of Saturday excites the soul.
And once sleepy bodies and minds are
Energized and cheered by the freedom of the day.
The cheerful newness of Saturday beckons eagerly
To leave behind the week's doldrums,
To breath fresh life and renew the spirit.
And so, I rise, leaving behind the warmth of sheets and comforters,
Longing to cradle and give rest to my weary body,
And throw myself willingly into the nourishing embrace of Saturday.
Play with friends and family is the nectar of the Gods.

Did you write that? One way or another it's lovely :)
Thank you. Yes, I wrote it...last Saturday morning as I clung to the last few moments in my warm cuddly bed. ;)
