Miscommunication

Today, while eating lunch at 2:00, we realized that yet, again, we were missing the movie at the library. Each Thursday afternoon for the summer, our library has a movie in the story time room. We have made it to story time a total of THREE times (!wow!) and never to the movie. Partly, it's the time...we're never really prepared to hang out at the library from 2-4 in a room full of kids eating pickles (if you don't understand what I mean there, keep watch, I will be posting about the pickle phenomenon soon enough). Anyway, today my head feels a bit sleepy and our chat about plans reflected that.

Here's a brief bit of our lunch conversation and miscommunication.

Alex: Well, I did kind of want to watch "Igor" (igor… “i” as in igloo)
Aimee, in correctrion: It's Īgor (īgor… “i” as in time)
Mom, in correction: Actually, it's Igor (ēgor… “i” as in team [can I even say that as an example...lol] )
Allie, in confusion: Eeeyore?

Oi! At least if we had gone to the film, we would have all known how to say it...maybe. Allie still refers to Malfoy (from Harry Potter) as "Mouthoy," so she could very well have walked away from "Igor" thinking there was a movie about another "Eeyore." Who knows.
