Allie: So, is tomorrow the last day of church?
Mom: No, church doesn't have a break for the summer. It just keeps going.
Allie: Oh man. Aw.
This small exchange tonight took me way back. I remember being Allie's age and thinking the exact same thing. The year I realized that church didn't have a summer break was also the year I realized that Dad didn't get work off for the summer either. Wow, life seemed pretty unfair. Tonight it just made me smile....and shed a small tear for childhood innocence.

man o man, no kidding... i was just wo-ing to mom about this a bit today, though not too much. it just becomes life after a while, and then you get those glimpses of how it was 'back in the day'. sometimes i long for them, but more often now, i don't. i like creating my day (& am getting more excited about the future), completing things well(or not), & feeling like I made a differnce. she'll be there in no time flat... & you're doing a fabulous job of helping them with skills to be awesome adults & outstanding citizens of the world. you're a super mom!!!
Brony told me about this story & I've been saying over & over again!! Too Funny!!
